Electronic adhesives have a wide range of uses, such as daily life, industrial production, etc., and are also widely used in the electronics industry. From circuit boards to giant generator coils, adhesives can be used. If the adhesive fails, the consequences will be very serious. In addition to mechanical fixation, adhesives also require thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, insulation, and meet the requirements of anti-impact assembly, sealing, and protection of substrates. The characteristics required by its different applications include: service life ranging from a few seconds to several years, and dosage from less than micrograms to more than 1 ton.
Application of different types of adhesives in the electronics industry
1. Epoxy glue: It is the most widely used in the electronics industry because of its strong versatility, excellent adhesion, wide adaptability, easy use, good electrical properties, and aging resistance.
2. Organic silica gel: suitable for occasions requiring flexibility, wide temperature range, high frequency, high temperature and atmospheric pollution.
3. Hot melt adhesive: Hot melt adhesive can be used under conditions that require fast assembly, low strength and low working temperature.
4. Acrylic adhesives: Acrylic adhesives are selected mainly because they have excellent electrical properties, stability, good aging resistance and transparency, and can be cured quickly.
5. Polyurethane glue: always keep soft, tough and firm from low temperature to 121°C.
6. Pre-coated polyvinyl butyral: It can form a tough and easy-to-assemble joint.

Adhesive applications can be found in almost all electronic devices, such as the bonding of radar antenna composite materials, which provide thermal and electrical conduction for the work of electronic components. There is also the bonding of the front cone ring of the missile. Typical applications include:
(1) Antenna reflector used for tracking/illuminating radar in ship air defense system.
(2) The American Danish Eye Snake (CobraDaYe) phased array radar system is used to bond the external dielectric window and the substrate.
(3) Drill and connect various electronic components of the Trident MKs (Trident MKs) missile guidance computer with a thermal conductive film.
(4) In the air traffic command radar, the cured epoxy laminate is bonded to the metal frame.
